Turning Around Restrictive Eating with Teri

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with my client Teri about her journey to overcome restrictive eating and find a healthier relationship with food and exercise. Teri’s story is an inspiring one, and I’m excited to share it with you.

Teri’s Background

Teri is a 40-year-old professional who has always been active, participating in challenges like climbing Kilimanjaro and running marathons. However, over the years, her relationship with food and exercise became increasingly unhealthy. She would drastically restrict her calories during the week, only to binge on the weekends. This cycle of binging and fasting left her feeling tired, irritable, and obsessed with food.

The Turning Point

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Teri found herself surrounded by food all the time, which only exacerbated her issues. She decided it was time to make a change and reached out to me for help. Teri was about to run the London Marathon, and she knew her current approach to food and exercise wasn’t going to get her the results she wanted.

Teri’s journey wasn’t an easy one. Increasing her calorie intake by 1,000 calories per day was a significant adjustment, and she initially felt uncomfortable and worried about gaining weight. However, with my guidance and support, Teri pushed through the discomfort and began to see the benefits.

Within a few weeks, Teri noticed a difference in her energy levels, mood, and overall performance. Her body composition also improved, as her muscles filled out and she looked more toned. Teri also found that she was able to enjoy social events and meals without the constant obsession over calories.

The Lasting Impact

Teri’s transformation went beyond just her physical appearance and performance. She found that the changes she made had a profound impact on her mental health and overall well-being. She was able to let go of the rigid control she had over her food and exercise, and she now approaches these aspects of her life with a much healthier and more balanced mindset.

Teri’s story is a testament to the power of breaking free from restrictive eating habits and embracing a more intuitive and joyful approach to food and exercise. Her journey has inspired me, and I hope it will inspire you as well.
